OUR STORY

Dr Slein was a very popular doctor with his patients.
He lived through the heroin epidemic that swept through Dublin and provided great support to patients and families affected by this. Dr Austin O Carroll took over from Dr Slein in 1997 initially as a single-handed GP.

From 1997 the practice developed till by 2018 it had grown to a five-doctor practice with a nurse and several administrators/receptionists.

As the practice served a community affected by deprivation, the practice team adopted a mission to provide the highest quality healthcare to all patients in its community irrespective of background. As a result, the practice provided many services specifically to help its local community including:

The practice has a strong reputation for serving its community and being open to all patients irrespective of background, persuasion, or ethnicity. The practice prides itself on its inclusivity and its dedication to quality care.

In 2018 the practice moved to the new primary care centre in Grangegorman and has grown to 7 doctors; 2 nurses; 8 administrative staff and a practice manager.
